How to Consign Items for Auction
Consigning your items with us is a simple, straightforward process. Follow these steps to get started:
Initial Consultation & Scheduling
Contact our auction team to discuss the items you wish to consign. We will review your inventory and schedule a convenient time to pick up your items or arrange direct shipping to us.
Consignment Agreement
Review and sign a formal consignment contract detailing your items, estimated values, commission rates, and terms of sale. (Contact us to request a sample agreement.)
Cataloging & Auction
Our experts research, photograph, and catalog your items to maximize their value. Your items are then featured in an upcoming auction for active bidding.
Settlement & Payment
Once the auction closes and buyer payments clear (typically within 14 to 21 business days), you will receive an itemized settlement statement along with your payment.
Settlement Timeline Breakdown
Auction Close & Invoicing (Days 1–3): Immediately after the auction ends, we generate and send invoices to winning bidders.
Buyer Payment Window (Days 3–10): Buyers are given a set window (typically 5 to 7 business days) to submit payment. For high-value lots, payments clear via wire transfer, certified check, or credit card processing.
Payment Settlement & Verification (Days 10–14): Funds undergo bank reconciliation and verification to clear holds or processing delays.
Settlement Statement & Payout (Days 14–30): Once all buyer funds for the consignment lot have fully cleared, we deduct final commission rates and fees, generate an itemized settlement statement, and issue payment via check or direct deposit.
Need immediate funds? We also offer direct buy-outs for a faster settlement process.
